I was watching Love Actually the other day - I know, it's dreadful, but it was Christmas Day, and my defences were lowered - and I noticed they're rerunning the adverts for visiting America, based on places you've seen in films.

What kind of crazy world is this where America, America, has to tout for business based on its status as a film set? Particularly when the exchange rate is now such as to make the whole country a half price sale.

I'll be doing my bit by getting married in Vegas in '08. You know, Las Vegas, from Viva Rock Vegas.
